My Teaching Philosophy
My teaching philosophy and my mission in life is to help students understand Chemistry and Math by whatever means necessary. What I mean is each student learns new concepts differently:some learn by listening, some are visual learners, and some are hands-on learners.I not only explain the ideas, I use various teaching aids, like 3D models, and relate Chemistry and Math to their real world experiences to encompass all three types of learning into my tutoring sessions.
I also record what I write and say in each session as a screencast and post the video online for the students to reference later. This is in response to students telling me that they understand it when we work on it but forget it later. Each student gets their own online video channel at no additional cost.
Learning subjects like math can be built in levels like a house; Chemistry is like waking up in an exotic land and trying to learn the language. Each requires an expert to guide you through the knowledge building progression.
